January 6, 2012North Florida – A Unique Market
December 22, 2011Discover an Untapped Market of Companies ready for Growth!
In addition to a beautiful tropical resort, a superb ocean-side golf course, and a nationwide crowd of capital sources and deal makers, the timing is going to be truly unique: the conference will begin the day after the 2012 Presidential election, and right before the Veteran’s Day 3-day weekend. It will be a perfect opportunity to hear perspectives on the next four years of economic policy, fill your pipeline for 2013, and – if you plan wisely and ahead – enjoy an extended, tax-deductible getaway with your family or friends. You’ll be able to enjoy golf, deep-sea-fishing, 13 miles of magnificent beachfront, and a unique Victorian town – founded by pirates on the only piece of American soil that has been under the jurisdictions of eight different sovereign nations during it’s history. And we’ll squeeze in some business, too.
The North Florida location will bring you not only the network and contacts of all four Florida ACG Chapters, but access to a trade zone that stretches up the coast to Savannah and inland to the metro Atlanta region. This section of the Deep South has concentrated sectors in manufacturing, logistics, transportation, health care, consumer products, retailing, tourism, technology, life sciences, military support and services, aviation, and international trade. Tell us where you want to park your tent – we’ll go find the campsites.
Your time is too valuable – so don’t just plan on attending a conference.
Attend instead with a well-developed plan.

CEO Roundtable Featuring Florida Success Stories
October 18, 2011
A CEO Roundtable filled with top executives from some of the most successful Florida-based companies, as well as Florida Governor Rick Scott, recognized for his success as a corporate CEO before becoming CEO of the State will be featuring some of Florida’s greatest success stories.
Conference chair, Rob Brighton said: “This year’s Capital Connection is focused on facilitating the means for jump-starting corporate growth, and the CEO Roundtable, a Capital Connection first, will provide an excellent forum.” He noted that the participants in the panel represent a cross section of companies that are Florida success stories, in many cases bouncing back from adversity to grow their companies and add jobs, notwithstanding a difficult economy. Panelists are expected to discuss what works — and what doesn’t — in today’s economy.
In addition to Governor Scott, the Roundtable panel includes CEOs Ben Baldanza of Spirit Airlines, Manny Medina, current CEO of Medina Capital Partners and former CEO of Terremark (recently acquired by Verizon Communications), Jeffrey Stoops of SBA Communications, Angel Alvarez of ABB Concise, Amin Khoury of B/E Aerospace, Lewis Gould of QEP, Steven Nielsen of Dycom Industries, Michael Earley of Metropolitan Health Networks, Carmen Perez of FPL FiberNet and Amjad Shamim of AAJ Technologies. Andy Corty, the Publisher of Florida Trend, will moderate.
The CEO Roundtable will be held at 8:00 am on Thursday, November 17th. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to hear a diverse cross section of corporate leaders share success stories, in today’s state and national economies, and why Florida is the destination for capital in the 21st century.
